    General Rules:

These rules are expected to be followed by all attendees at all times. Violation of the rules can result in disqualification from a tournament or banned from the Video Game Room or Convention depending on severity. ANY vandalism or defacing of Convention, Hotel, Convention Center, or Video Gaming room property will result in a complete ban from the Convention, be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and possibly be fined.
    1. Please make it a point to maintain proper hygiene.
    2. No outside food or beverages are allowed. Water will be provided by the convention. IF YOU BRING IT, WE WILL EAT IT! This is your only warning!
    3. Please use common courtesy when playing at game stations. Limit your play time to 10 min if there is a line to play. Also please communicate with others who may be watching and offer them a chance to play. If a seat is not given up NOTIFY A STAFFER IMMEDIATELY. Passive aggressive behavior is NOT going to get you a chance to play that game.
    4. We highly encourage that you bring your own wireless game controllers for Wii, 360, and PS3. Should you need to borrow a controller, one may be obtained by Video Game room staff. To do so, you will need to turn in your convention badge to us. Your badge will be returned upon receipt of the controller.
    24 Hour Rules:

All basic game rules apply during 24 hour gaming (12AM to 8 AM) in addition to:

    1. Please limit your time in the VG room to two hours.

    4. No obvious intoxication. Please drink responsibly.
    5. GET SOME SLEEP AND BATHE!

    Tournament Specific Rules:
    1. All decisions made by tournament officials and Anime Boston Video Gaming Staff are final.
    2. All tournaments are single elimination and seeding is randomized unless noted in the tournament rules.

    4. No unsportsmanlike conduct will be tolerated.
    5. No custom or personal controllers or joysticks.

    7. If a match is restarted due to any reason then the match will be restarted from the beginning.
    8. Contestants are allowed to compete IF AND ONLY AND IF they are registered at the convention and have a badge. If that player is not registered and badge less you will not be permitted to enter the Video Game room. Your position in the tournament will be disqualified and a member on the waiting list will take your place.
    9. Once a tournament is full and a contestant wishes to withdraw from the tournament or tournament waiting list then please notify a Video Gaming Staff member IMMEDIATELY.
    10. Contestants are REQUIRED to check in between one hour or half-hour before the tournament starts. Two calls will be made for a name and if you do not show you will be disqualified. This is applicable for every bracket in every tournament.
    11. You may only use a proxy if you are in two tournaments running concurrently. The proxy only applies only during the first two rounds of a tournament.
    12. Sticks are permitted for fighting game tournaments.

The VG staff respectfully requests that you refrain from contacting them to sign up for tournaments. There will be terminals available to sign up for tournaments all through the VG Room during the convention.
