Sonia Leong Sonia Leong
Internationally known professional Anime/Manga illustrator Sonia Leong is in Boston showing work from her latest project, the weekly web manga Aya.Takeo. Aya.Takeo, launched April 15, 2007, features star-crossed love and adventure in a futuristic world with the look of classical Japan.

Sonia has more than 70 prominent publications and appearances to her credit. Her latest graphic novel Manga Shakespeare: Romeo & Juliet recently hit bookshelves in the UK, with a US edition following in April. Sonia took second-place in Tokyopop's first UK Rising Stars of Manga competition and is featured in the anthology. Other competition achievements include Winner in NEO Magazine's 2005 Manga Competition and judging for the International Manga and Anime Festival (IMAF), which has an $85,000 USD prize fund. Sonia designed the official mascot for leading graphics tablet manufacturer Wacom and its European Manga campaign. Her work is also appearing in an upcoming British movie Popcorn directed by Darren Paul Fisher, starring Jack Ryder (EastEnders) and Jodie Albert ( Hollyoaks ). Sonia is a core member of Sweatdrop Studios, the UK's leading Manga collaborative and was the Head Contributor to their book Draw Manga from New Holland Publishers Ltd.

J Dee DuPuy is the creator of OniKimono: Detectives of the Orient, a noir urban fantasy GN in its third year at wirepop.com. In August of 2006 OniKimono was picked up by Warren Ellis's soon-to-debut experimental collective, RocketPirates.com. DuPuy is also Chmakova's digital toning assistant for the Dramacon series, published through Tokyopop.

Myung Hee Kim is a full-time animator at Obsidian Entertainment (Knights of the Old Republic II, Neverwinter Kinghts II) . She is currently teaching 2 courses at Westwood College, Los Angeles, in animation and modeling. Kim also does freelance work for various publishers, most recently for Del Ray manga. Kim's weekly webcomic, My Keeper is in its 3rd year at wirepop.com and she has self-published the first 2 volumes of the work with a third on the way.

Dan Hess is the creator of the popular and long running magical girl comic, Angel Moxie and the fantasy comedy webcomic Realms of Ishikaze, now in its fourth year at wirepop.com. Hess is also a freelance illustration and design guru specializing in web development. He is part owner and flash programmer for one of the hottest up and coming sites for the Disney fan community, mouseguest.com.
